Anadolu University that was founded in 1958 is an university that has universal values and had done the firsts in Turkish high education field with its 12 faculties that 3 of them are giving education as outer education, 6 institute, 1 country conservatory, 3 profession institute, 38 research and application center. Anadolu University that is among the prominent universities of the world continues to give education in Yunusemre Settlement that is located in city center and seen as the main settlement and in 2 Eylül Settlement that is in distance of 5 km to city center.

In addition to educational and scientific works in Anadolu University, very big importance is given to social and cultural activities. Scientific meeting such as conferences, seminars, panel, congress, symposium and cultural activities such as shows, exhibitions, theatres and concertsare organized. In addition to small conference saloons in almost all units, Atatürk Kültür ve Sanat Merkezi, saloons in Kongre Merkezi, Saloon 2003, Saloon Anadolu and Sanat Merkezi fulfill many activities. International Eskişehir Film Festival and the most parts of International Eskişehir Festival activities are performed in Anadolu University saloons in all years. During the year, concerts and shows of special groups, works of institutions such as Country Theatres, Country Opera and Bale are performed to the audience.
